  • This job also supports the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs.

 

What you'll do

 

  • Conducts investigations into claims of potential harassment and discrimination; escalates to senior leadership as needed; partner with operational leadership in investigations into workplace misconduct and potential violations of company policies 
  • Conducts and/or supports investigations into claims of potential harassment and discrimination; escalates to senior personnel as needed
  • Provides investigations findings and summaries 
  • Partners with operational leadership in investigations into potential violations of company policies
  • Conducts various data analysis on complaints and related metrics, monitors for patterns and trends to identify areas of concern 
  • Partner with internal and external counsel when appropriate 
  • Conducts ongoing HR training and guidance on all work environment related matters 
  • Investigates and drafts responses for external complaints and charges to defend the Company's position and interests 
  • Conducts ongoing formal and informal HR training on matters such as sexual harassment and discrimination
  • Represents the HR partner team on various projects/committees
  • Serves as an advocate for our employees

 

All you'll need for success

 

Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training (Human Resources, Criminal Justice/Criminology, Law Enforcement, Corporate Investigations)
  • 3 years of professional level experience in 1 or more of the following areas: employee relations; internal affairs; investigative reporting/writing; EEOC Investigations; or mediation/arbitration. 
  • 3+ years of experience handling internal complaint workplace investigations, involving on-site, in-person interviews.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with state and federal employment laws including but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc.

 
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Prior experience working with represented groups

 
Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Strong analytical, fact-finding and evidence gathering skills
  • Ability to demonstrate effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent project management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to exercise a sense of urgency in handling multiple cases/priorities and produce results
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, be able to partner, use a subtle style and work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to travel
