To be eligible for WBCS, a candidate must be an Indian citizen and hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The age limit (calculated as on 1 January of the exam year) is 21–36 years for Group A & C, 20–36 years for Group B (WB Police Service) and 21–39 years for Group D.
